Professional Writing

The content we create will:

  • Use an active voice with elements of a formal style with a relaxed tone

  • Communicate need-to-know information

  • Eliminate excessive words and awkward phrasing

  • Differ from written text that is considered literary or artistic

  • Offer established processes and research protocols

  • Brief, yet focused content

What is Professional Writing?

Your vision is our blank slate.

Writers are not created equal. There are many variations of writing styles based on the type of content being written. When someone communicates ideas in writing, they usually do so to express themselves, inform their reader, to persuade a reader, or to create a literary work. Professional writing is much like persuasive writing in that it is often written to influence or to convince the reader of something.

At FLuidity  Writing & Healthcare Consulting, we specialize in professional writing, which is a style of writing that conveys clear and concise information and ideas to an audience in a professional setting. Hence, the term, professional. We are intent on facilitating the work of a business or organization that is directed to internal or external audiences of our client’s organization.

Our goal at FLuidity is to write content using our client's preferred style using Standard versus Non-standard English.

Standard English

Language used in professional and business communication. It is the form of English that follows the formal rules of the language.

What can you expect from us:

  • Open and honest communication

  • Professional guidance and advice aimed at successful content creation

  • Content characterized by using standard English, more complex sentence structures, infrequent use of personal pronouns, and lack of colloquial or slang terms

  • Revised content for spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Professional content that strikes the intended tone

Professional writing examples:

  • Policy & Procedure Manuals

  • Academic Professional Statements

  • Request for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Business Reports (executive summary, marketing analysis, etc.)

  • Press Releases

Nonstandard English

Uses regional or social language variations. Nonstandard English should only be used when there is a purpose for it in writing. For example, it can be used in a narrative to describe a person with a specific regional dialect.
